This position is responsible for producing safe and clean water for Anson County. Employees in this classification perform computerized and manual work. The operator checks a variety of equipment and tank levels to ensure proper operation of the plant, which includes checking chemical levels in water and water treatment equipment and making necessary adjustments. The role involves regulating filter flows, washing filters, sterilizing equipment, cleaning basins, and filling day tanks. The employee will perform microbiological tests, chemical analysis, and other types of tests. Records various reports such as daily shift checklists, daily performance, and chemical usage reports. Additionally, the role includes cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds around the building, and related work as directed.
