About Position
Responsible of HydroGenerator Auxiliaries Systems design on a given project. Executeprocess design engineering activities, perform calculation to sizethe aux. systems and associated equipment. Responsible to specifythe components and main equipment of these systems, and ensure thetechnical follow-up of these equipment, making sure that there aredelivered with highest level of quality, on-time and with fullcompliance to laws and directives. Collaborate and extend supportto cross functional team for smooth interface and technicalmanagement.

Role&Responsibilities

• Understand,define the scope plan aligned with project contract specificationand lead execution using technical guidelines, design reviews andtaking into account the feedback from experiences andlearnings.
• Make contract analysis, projectplanning, identify risk & opportunities and conceptual design& layout in project. Prepare technical queries, contractdeviation request, assist in responses to clientqueries.
• Perform Basic Design, calculations,create P&ID and procurement specifications for GeneratorAuxiliary Systems (Heat exchangers, Thrust bearing oil injection,Oil mist exhaust, Braking and Jacking system, Mist & dustextraction system, Firefighting system and their piping’slayout)
• Organize design review meeting at BDand DD stage.
• Responsible for the timelyreleases of the engg. documents for assembly & manufacturingand material lists related to auxiliarysystems.
• Lead the interface management topicswith other engg. cross-functions.
• Manage andexecute work-packages with Product definitionteam.
• Contribute to lesson learned records inthe appropriate tools to improve the equipment specificationsmanagement.
• Manage non-conformity reports,supplier deviation requests of Aux. system.
• Beinvolved in root cause analysis or PSR (8D, 5 Why’s, etc…) when aproblem statement is raised inside engineering (for instance foranalysis of CoPQ),
• Apply the ideas and conceptsof reliability, quality, safety andcost.

Qualifications

• EducationalRequirements: B. E. (Mechanical)
• At least 6years of design experience in Auxiliary systems for Hydro Generatorand Turbine with total desired experience of more than 9years.
• Basic knowledge in following engineeringdisciplines: layout & arrangement, mechanical & electricaldesign, piping design, P&ID diagram, instrumentation, andcontrol;
• Detailed knowledge of Hydro powerplant operation;
• Good knowledge of HydroGenerator and Turbine Products and their designstandards;
• Software familiarity: CAD tools -AUTOCAD and UG NX, MS Office, PLM(CORELLA);
• Strong technical and scientificknow-how and willingness to continuously extend and developit;
• Strong oral and written communicationskills in English, other languages (French, Portuguese, Mandarin)are anasset.
